Have you ever needed a better way to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries? Occasions helps you by not only giving you a list of the birthdays, how long until they come, and the age the person is turning, but it also sends you push notifications. Occasions is a very polished app that can save you from forgetting birthdays, anniversaries, and other stuff too!
Occasions has a very nice interface. It has a plus button on the top left for adding new contacts, editing existing contacts, or adding new info that is not associated with someone in your contact list. The settings button on the top right takes you to the settings page where you can view the help and about screens, turn on and off notifications and badges, change the theme, and lots of other things to customize the app. The search bar lets you search for names and the button on the right of it lets you choose what kind of events you are searching for.
The top section of the list has upcoming events, which by default are events coming within a month. You can change this in the settings along with lots of other things. The bottom list has all the other birthdays that aren't in the upcoming list. Taping a contact in either list brings up contact info along with the zodiac sign and the birthstone. From this page, you can easily press the the pencil button to edit all the info.
This app is really neat. It does lots of the things the iPhone should have done from the start, but adds even more. It works great and is very helpful. Occasions is the best birthday app on the app store.
